Our Story

In 1979 John Pace sold his only motorcycle to earn enough money to start Tarheel Paving and Asphalt Company. From there he slowly but surely started to build one of the most reliable paving companies in all of North Carolina. Today, Tarheel Paving is a true family ran and operated company that operates with a mission to serve Western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina with the highest quality paving services available.
